Pikachu, that is literally the best news I’ve ever heard you say. Everyone rejoice, for we have a new Pokemon on the way to the 3DS. Nintendo announced today that Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are set for a simultaneous release for Australia, Europe, Japan, and the US on October 2013. The first trailer can be seen above and shows off the three new starter Pokemon (the games will feature brand new never before seen Pokemon as well as old favorites): Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
The biggest change is that Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be in… Drumroll please… 3D! Platforming aspects can be seen and a brand new art style makes it seem like a whole new game. Now, I don’t know about the rest of the world (judging by Twitter, they’d agree) but I’ve been waiting for a 3D Pokemon game akin X and Y since I first played Red and Blue. I don’t own a 3DS, but Pokemon X and Y pretty much ensures that I will.
