[News] Aliens Colonial Marines Collector’s Edition Very Nice. Assassin’s Creed Not as Nice

So I’ve decided to write up the news for two different collector’s edition, from two separate companies, in the same post. Let’s call it a study in contrast.

First, we have the collector’s edition for the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines developed by Gearbox studios (which I am very, very excited for). What is included is as follows:

-Four additional multiplayer characters from the Alien films: Hicks, Hudson, Apone, and Drake.

-Ripley’s flamethrower.

-Extra character customization options.

Extra Scratch that. Exclusive weapons.

-An exclusive level.

-UCSM dossier which includes: Mission briefings, schematics of the ship, recruitment chart, a UCSM graduation certificate you can hang on your wall if you don’t have things to hang on your wall, photos, and iron-on badges.

-The very neat looking Xeno-Hive packaging.

-A resin powerloader statue.

And all this is yours for the lovely price of $99.99

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you package a collector’s edition.

Now let’s move onto Assassin’s Creed III Ubiworkshop Edition…I don’t know what that means either.

Now included in this lovely bundle is:

Assassin’s Creed Subject 4 graphic novel

-The Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia Second Edition

-The game

And all of it for the price of $109.99, but if you pre-order this moment you can get it for $99.99

Seriously though you can tell which of the two is the better value for your buck. I figure that if I’m going to pay a hundred dollars on something it might as well be on something substantial. Sadly with the pre-order bonuses and collector editions becoming more dlc heavy, I feel that anything physical is worth something. I for one really like artbooks and soundtracks but who knows how long those will still be offered.
