[News] SOPA Senate Vote Delayed

It’s been announced over the weekend that the SOPA Senate vote is now delayed from its original day of January 18 until “a consensus” is reached. Republican House Oversight chairman Darrell Issa had this to say on the matter:

“While I remain concerned about Senate action on the Protect IP Act, I am confident that flawed legislation will not be taken up by this House.”

Let’s all hope they never come to a consensus and decide this is all a ridiculous endangerment of our freedom of expression. The only sopa on the internet should be the recipe kind. Various sites were planning on blacking out in protest of the vote; even we here at Twinfinite had plans to protest it. Now that the day of the vote has changed, will the internet still boycott Wednesday?
