Remember when we were all pumped about seeing the PS4 and the Xbox 720 (?) at E3? Yeah, you might wanna dial that excitement down a notch.
The Wall Street Journal reports that rumors of the PlayStation 4’s debut at E3 2012 were highly exaggerated, citing statements by Kaz Hirai- the “face of Sony”- that the PlayStation 3 is a product with a 10-year life cycle. As the PS3 debuted in 2006, we’re still in it for quite a while, folks.
No word yet on Microsoft’s plans regarding the new Xbox, but we’ll keep you posted.
