[News] Fortune Summoners Delayed

Last week, I voiced some concerns with Carpe Fulgur’s newest title Fortune Summoners.  It was their highest priced game to date and their demo still had a few translation issues.  Honestly, this wan’t looking to be a good start for their first license outside of EasyGameStation.

Fortunately, the guys at Carpe Fulgur were paying attention to their fans.

Project Director Andrew Dice took to the Carpe Fulgur forums today to announce that they are working to reduce the final price of the game to under $20.  Recettear likewise launched at $20 and proved to be incredibly successful for them.  The game will be delayed until the anticipated date of January 24th to “take the time and make sure that the paid version of Fortune Summoners launches with no issues.”

While the exact price and date are still up in the air, this helps me put a bit more faith in to the final product after some of the negligent errors of the demo. It’s a surprisingly solid game and I think this new price point can really push it forward and make it more accessible to groups outside the niche.
