How to Get the Best Pokemon in Pokemon GO

Your Pokemon GO adventure is going to require you to catch the very best Pokemon if you’re going to really help mount an attack on your opposition’s Gyms. Other players may just want to collect every Pokemon in the game and power them up to be super strong. Either way, you’re going to need some tips to get the best Pokemon out there.

Most important is trainer level. The higher your trainer level, the more encounters you’re going to end up having with the best Pokemon.
If you need some tips on how to level up quickly don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

One of the big issues in pokemon go you’re going to have as you come across these more powerful or rarer Pokemon is that they’ll be more reluctant to sit inside your Poke Balls. With that in mind you’re going to want to make sure you’re using Great Balls and Ultra Balls when you unlock them at your respective levels.

Sometimes, the best Pokemon that you’re looking for just simply cannot be found in the wild. In this case, it may be easier for you to evolve their lesser forms in order to add them to your Pokedex. Simply start racking up on Candy and don’t stop until you’ve got enough to evolve.

If you’re after a Dratini, maybe our own experience will give you an idea on where to search.

It was just a couple of feet away from the local park in the area which had a Gym and a PokeStop nearby. The trainer was at level 8 (you will find rarer Pokemon at higher levels) and found it quickly after a short walk. They only used two regular Poké Balls before being able to capture this creature. Hopefully our own experience will help you know how to get and to find one down of your own.

If you’re wanting to find yourself a Snorlax, you’ll want to get hatching those Eggs.

One of the best ways to get your own huge sleepy Pokemon is by hatching a 10km Egg. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee you’ll get one as there are other Pokemon in pokemon go you can get from them, but with a bit of luck you’ll have a Snorlax after a couple Eggs.

The starter Pokemon and their evolutions are some of the most sought after in Pokemon GO so far. You’ll get your choice of three at the very start, but you can also catch these in the wild.

Alternatively, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle can all hatch from the 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs. We’d advise you get your running shoes on now and head off out.

The pokemon go Eevee evolutions are another sought after trio of Pokemon in GO. With no way of determining which evolution you get when you use all of your precious candies to evolve it, which one you get will come down to how the Pokemon GO lady luck is feeling.

It’ll take you a lot of Candy but with a lot of Eevee’s caught, you’ll finish the set this way. Unfortunately, the Eeveelutions can’t be hatched from an Egg.

Though it won’t exclusively bring out the rarest creatures in Pokemon GO, Incense is a handy way to increase the likelihood of an encounter simply down to the rules of probability: The more encounters you have with Pokemon, the higher the chance you’ll come across a rare one eventually.

Next time you go exploring activate an Incense, you never know what might suddenly appear.

Very similar to Incense, Lure Modules increase the likelihood of you finding Pokemon. However, they’re more of a radius item, bringing Pokemon within a set distance of a PokeStop for all players in that area.

Again, thanks to the principles of probability, the more Pokemon you see, the better chance you have of finding a rare. Though in our own personal experiences, we’ve found some out of the ordinary Pokemon when we’ve passed by an active module. Keep an eye out for the pink flowers!

As we’ve previously mentioned for some of the specific rare Pokemon of pokemon go, one of the best ways to acquire some that just don’t seem to be appearing in the wild are by hatching Eggs.

A recent chart from Serebii outlines the Pokemon that can be hatched from each different distance Egg.

So now that you’ve got the final evolution of a Pokemon and you want to know how to really bring home the pain to your opponents at the Gym, you’ll want to train ’em up.

Simply build up your collection of Stardust and Candy and feed up your Pokemon. This is how to boost their pokemon go CP and make them a more formidable opponent in the arena.

The mascot Pokemon for each of the three teams that trainers can join, the legendary birds are quite possibly some of the most powerful Pokemon that players will be able to get their hands on. How do you get them?

As of this time they haven’t been let out into the wild, and rumor has it that Niantic and The Pokemon Company will release these via special pokemon go events at a later date. How easy these will be able to get at these events is yet to be seen, but we can dream.

Even more powerful than the legendary birds, Mewtwo is another super rare Pokemon that has yet to be included in Pokemon GO. That doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t have an idea as to how we’ll get it.

In the announcement trailer for Pokemon GO, we saw some sort of raid event going on at Times Square, where all the trainers in the local area had to work together to take down the all-powerful Mewtwo. If you’re gonna be able to grab the super strong Pokemon and wondering how to get them, we’re putting our money on some huge multiplayer event.

That’s all our tips for catching the best Pokemon in pokemon go. For more tips, tricks, and guides for Pokemon GO, be sure to check out our Ultimate Guide. Have you got any tips of your own? Share them in the comments below.
