15 Pokemon Pokedex Entries That Will Absolutely Creep You Out

Poor Spoink.

There are a lot of different Pokemon that have been released over the years, with many of them standing out thanks to their unique designs. However, when players begin to peel back the layers it turns out that some of these Pokemon are just plain weird. Whether its through their habits or origin, the backstory for a lot of these critters may surprise players due to the cute and cuddly nature.

Yveltal
“When its life comes to an end, it absorbs the life energy of every living thing and turns into a cocoon once more.” Oh good, so if Yveltal dies that means the end of all life. Wonderful, well show much for taking it out into the wild.

Slowking – Crystal

“Every time it yawns, Shellder injects more poison into it. The poison makes it more intelligent.” So Shellder poison makes Pokemon more intelligent? Man, we wish that’d work for us when we were in school.

Spoink –  Ruby

“Spoink bounces around on its tail. The shock of its bouncing makes its heart pump. As a result, this Pokémon cannot afford to stop bouncing – if it stops, its heart will stop.” Talk about having a miserable first stage, the fact that this poor Pokemon can’t stop jumping just seems cruel. Only more of an incentive to evolve Spoink as fast as humanly possible.

Darumaka – Pokemon X

“Darumaka’s droppings are hot, so people used to put them in their clothes to keep themselves warm.” Wait, so people used to carry Darumaka’s crap with them? There is no way that’s sanitary or practical.

Dusclops –  Ruby

“Dusclops’s body is completely hollow – there is nothing at all inside. It is said that its body is like a black hole. This Pokémon will absorb anything into its body, but nothing will ever come back out.” So does that mean if a Dusclops is cut open then a black hole is released upon the world? Perhaps it’s best not to use Cut or on Dusclops in battle.

Parasect –  FireRed

“It scatters toxic spores from the mushroom cap. In China, the spores are used as herbal medicine.” The fact that China is apart of the Pokemon world raises so many questions about geography and diplomatic relations. What happened to Japan? Is Aloha apart of the United States? More than likely this was a bad translation, but it certainly makesfor an intriguing thought.

Gorebyss – Pokemon Sapphire

“Although Gorebyss is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this Pokémon inserts its thin mouth into the prey’s body and drains the prey of its body fluids.” When you think violent or bloody Pokemon, Gorebyss is probably very low on that list. However, this Pokemon acts as a pseudo-vampire and just drains its victims dry. Lovely.

Glalie –  Sapphire

“Glalie has the ability to freely control ice. For example, it can instantly freeze its foe solid. After immobilizing its foe in ice, this Pokémon enjoys eating it in leisurely fashion.” Oh good, another Pokemon that eats its victims in a horrific fashion. Maybe it’s time we stop catching these critters in Pokemon Sapphire.

Crabominable – Pokemon Moon

“It just throws punches indiscriminately. In times of desperation, it can lop off its own pincers and fire them like rockets.” Winning the award for worst boxer in the Pokemon universe is this terribly coordinated Fighting/Ice Pokemon. Hey, at least if he misses Crabominable can fire his claws at opponents, that’s worth something, right?

Gourgiest X

“Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed.” Imagine you are just enjoying a nice stroll through town at dark only to cross paths with this little fella and have your life completely ruined. Do towns put signs up to warn others of Gourgiests? Now we are just curious if this Pokemon takes requests, just so we can hear something nice before getting cursed.

Cacturne –  Sapphire

“If a traveler is going through a desert in the thick of night, Cacturne will follow in a ragtag group. The Pokémon are biding their time, waiting for the traveler to tire and become incapable of moving.” Of course, it’s another Pokemon Sapphire entry. Outside of the fact that a wandering band of evil cacti, the fact that this Pokemon stalks you the entire time is terrifying. Sure Haunter eats dreams, but knowing that Cacturne is out there waiting for you is truly unsettling.

Spiritomb – Pokemon Diamond

“A Pokémon that was formed by 108 spirits. It is bound to a fissure in an odd keystone.” Oh good, we always feel safer when carrying the manifestation of a 108 angry spirits. There’s no way that’s going to backfire on us.

Ariados – Pokemon Black/White

“It attaches silk to its prey and sets it free. Later, it tracks the silk to the prey and its friends.” PSA to all Pokemon Trainers out there exploring the world. If you see a Pokemon with silk trailing behind it, just steer clear of that one until it walks by – you’ll thank us later.

Klefki – Pokemon x

“These key collectors threaten any attackers by fiercely jingling their keys at them.” Oh boy, look out everybody Klefki is going to rattle its keys around for a little bit. You know our Charizard can fire a massive fireball from its mouth right?

Gothitelle – Pokemon White

“They can predict the future from the placement and movement of the stars. They can see Trainers’ life spans.” So, there is a Pokemon out there that can see how long each trainer is going to live and has literally no way of communicating this to them. Not only is this unsettling, but it would seriously make us reconsider ever picking this one up. The last thing we need is our Gothitelle staring at us, waiting for our inevitable death.
