10 Facts You (Probably) Did Not Know About Fallout 4

Fallout 4 has a massive open world filled with a ton of NPC you can talk and interact with. With that being said, Fallout 4’s map is twice the size of Skyrim, filled with eleven hundred thousand lines of dialogue. This is more than Fallout 3 and Skyrim’s dialogue combined together.
Many Fallout players are very familiar with using the V.A.T.S. system, but not actually sure how it came about. Well, the V.A.T.S. system was inspired by the game, Burnout, in its crash replay mode. Developers from Bethesda took these modes and reworked it and used some of the ideas to create this the very well-known innovation, V.A.T.S. systems.
Did you know, the map’s southern border does not limit your exploration at all. You can literally travel eternally and on top of that it’s a really cool place to explore. Be wary, it is very highly radiated so you will definitely want to pack some Rad-X, RadAway or wear a Power Armor suit.
When the in-game date is December 25th, Diamond City will be rehauled with festive Christmas lights and trees. No, this doesn’t mean you can switch your consoles date, to the pre-set time.
In the dugout in Diamond City, there are three paintings hanging on the wall just above a desk. At a first glance, it looks like the famous shot of Napoleon Dynamite riding his horse. Well not exactly, if you look closely you will notice that it is Bethesda’s Game Director, Todd Howard hiding in plain sight.

No limits
Did you know that the map's southern border does not limit your exploration at all? You can continue even after the map ends to discover the Glowing Sea. Be wary, it is highly irradiated, so you will definitely want to pack some Rad-X, RadAway, or wear a suit of Power Armor.

Teddy bear obsession
Someone on the Bethesda development team loves teddy bears. While exploring the wasteland you might notice a series of teddy bears scattered throughout the game, usually in weird positions. If you are in Back Street Apparel (a location in the Common Wealth), you will come across a bathroom and you will notice a Teddy Bear with glasses reading a newspaper. Weird, but funny right? If you happen to pick up one of these teddy bears and give it to Dog Meat, he will love it and play with it. You'll be pleased with the results.

Hidden dialogue
If you were like most explorers, the minute the game let you explore the wastelands you were off to see what Fallout 4 had to offer. But, did you know that once you recruit Codsworth as your companion, you can head back to Vault 111, and he will actually have hidden dialogue for you? He expresses his condolences to you for losing your spouse.
Frozen Pip-Boy
If you are on standby for a long time while having your Pip-Boy out, your created character will think it's frozen and become confused. You'll get to witness them give it a few knocks as they try to get it working normally again.
Story behind the Swan Behemoth
The massive mutant behemoth found in Swans Pond actually has a back story. Prior to his transformation, he was a criminal who volunteered as a test subject in exchange for an opportunity at probation. Through the condition, he kept written notes on his progress (that can be found near the lake). Within the first week, he began to mutate. The second week he received massively increased strength and intelligence. By the time the sole survivor finds him he has become this massive, psychopathic monster that lives beneath the pond.
Alien Easter Egg Returns
The alien easter egg has once again returned to Fallout 4. Once completing the quest titled "Vault 75" you will then want to head over to Beantown Brewery. Walk east and south around this the brewery and you should see a flash in the sky as a UFO speeds past you. Once you see this, you will know the event has been triggered. Just to the east of the crash site, you should find another secondary location marker called ‘Cave.’ Head inside here and the alien will be here. Take him down with a couple of shots and the alien blaster pistol is yours,
