call of duty, easter eggs

A whole bunch of easter eggs…

PThere has been a Nuketwon easter egg for each time the map has been reused within the Black Ops series. The most recent, being the one that is featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. If the player shoots off all the heads of the mannequins within two minutes, all the mannequins start to attack the player. Creepy, right?

The hidden game mode, Dead Ops Arcade, can be played if punching in “DOA” into the CIA Data System in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Dead Ops Arcade is a twin-stick top-down shooter which shares similar features to the classic zombie’s mode gameplay.

The fan favorite remake, the Giant has two more secret perks that can be obtained. To get Stamin-Up and Deadshot Daquri all you have to do is throw a Monkey Bomb within each of the three teleporters. This will allow either of the two perks, at a random gamble.

Treyarch is famous for putting in Easter Eggs that allow background music to play while killing waves of the undead. In Call of Duty: Black Ops ll’s “Five” map, if the players press the action button on all three of the red telephones, Eminem’s “Won’t Back Down” song will play in the background. It’s a very suiting pick for the situation the four characters are in.

On Advanced Warfare’s map Detroit, there is a cinema poster that has the letters D, G, and 2 on it. At first, many players weren’t sure what it meant. Turns out, it was a direct reference to the Wonder Weapon called the WonderWaffe DG-2.
