HOW TO PAUSE A DOWNLOAD ON PS4
Being that we are in the year 2017, more and more people are opting out of physical purchases and are instead relying heavily on digital store fronts to buy the games and movies that they want to play and see. Some of these games, specifically PS4 games, may fill up a lot of space on your hard drive – space that you might want to keep for other important things. If you do end up downloading a game, television show, or movie from the PlayStation Store, and decide that you want to stop the download for a short period of time, we’re here to tell you just how to do that.
In order to pause or stop a download on your PS4, you must be on the main home screen of the system. From there, just head on over to your notifications section towards the left hand side of the upper set of icons, click on downloads, and from there you should see a list of items – some which are currently being downloaded and then some of your past updates and downloads. Press the X button on the Dualshock 4 controller while highlighting the game and you’ll have the option to stop the download or even cancel the download all together. If you need to resume a download after pausing it, just repeat the same step and you’ll be all ready to go.
That is how you pause a download on your PlayStation 4. For more tips and tricks, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
