Changing to Japanese Voices & Audio in Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a very talkative game, and while the English voice dub seems to be more than adequate, some players may prefer to enjoy the story with the original Japanese voices and audio track instead. The good news is, you can do that if that’s your preference.
At the time of writing, the game is already available on the Nintendo eShop, and alongside it is a free DLC containing the Japanese voice and audio track. You can head into the eShop, click on the icon for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and download the DLC, which is found in the Additional Content section. Do note that the voice pack itself will take up 871 MB of space, so make sure that you have enough room on your console before downloading and installing.
After the DLC has been installed, boot up the game and go to the Options menu. Under Sound Settings, you’ll find a Voice option at the very bottom of the menu, and you can use the d-pad to switch between English and Japanese voices. You’ll also be able to retain the English subtitles even with Japanese voices.
