PS PLUS FREE GAMES PREDICTIONS FOR MAY 2018

indies, firewatch, ps plus, predictions

After a larger game, usually a couple smaller indies make the list every month for PS Plus as well. For May 2018, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the extremely popular indie FEZ from Phil Fish of Polytron Corporation.

The biggest reason we might see FEZ if not next month then sometime soon is the fact that is it available on not only PS4 and PS3, but PS Vita as well. Sony loves to include titles on its PS Plus lists that can be played on multiple formats, such as Q*Bert Rebooted from April that’s available on all three platforms as well. On top of this, FEZ is a critically acclaimed platformer and would make players very happy to have included on the list for next month.

Another possible indie is Firewatch from Campo Santo, first released in February 2016. It has been over a year since Firewatch released, a respectable amount of time for Sony to give an indie before considering it for PS Plus. Also, like FEZ, Firewatch is an extremely well received indie game that featured beautiful visuals of the Wyoming wilderness and exceptional dialog between the protagonist Henry and his co-worker Delilah.

PS PLUS FREE GAMES PREDICTIONS FOR MAY 2018

statik, vr, april 2017, releases

Every few months, a PSVR game makes the PS Plus list. The last time a VR game was included in a PS Plus lineup was December 2017 with Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, so we are due for a new free PSVR game soon.

For May 2018, we predict Statik form Tarsier Studios will be free on PS Plus. This puzzle game traps a series of boxes onto your hands that have various elements on the sides which can be controlled by the player. By using both visual and audio hints seen around the room, you attempt to solve the puzzle boxes to free yourself as Dr. Ingen and his assistant Edith put a new puzzle on your hands with each passing day.

There is already a demo for Statik available for free on the PlayStation store, and the game released almost exactly a year ago in April 2017, so it’s been a good amount of time since its release.

Make sure to check back with Twinfinite in a few weeks when the official PS Plus lineup is finally revealed by Sony.
