Fortnite Teases Emergency Broadcast on Twitter, Meteor Event Could Be Coming

Fortnite Llama Test, battle royale, meteorite

When does a llama mean danger? If you’re playing Fortnite, of course. For those who’ve been playing Fortnite and patiently waiting for something to happen with the meteors in the sky, you may be in for a fun surprise today, or in the near future. The official Twitter account for Fortnite has posted a bright llama-based test pattern image without any description, even going so far as to change its Twitter profile header as well to keep up the charade. It could spell imminent disaster for Tilted Towers, but we have no idea if anything’s going to happen today or not.

As you can see, the test pattern features the loot box icon featuring a llama, but we don’t have much else to go on beyond that. Previously, the Twitter account had used the imagery of a Chinese passport that gave us the impression that the game may be debuting in China, but nothing directly referencing the hubbub surrounding the meteor event or whatever is going to actually happen in-game to Tilted Towers.

Whatever the case may be, you might want to keep your eyes on the sky in Fortnite today as you also watch out for those small UFO-like objects that have appeared in the last few days. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we see anything or any signs that disaster could be on its way, but honestly we’re just not sure what to expect at this point.
