A Way Out: How to Invite & Play With Friends

Inviting and Playing With Friends in A Way Out

Recommended Videos

A Way Out is the new co-op game developed by Hazelight Studios and published as part of the new EA Originals program. The game was designed with two players in mind, and it’s best experienced with friends. Players can either enjoy the game as a couch co-op experience or invite someone to play with them through the online multiplayer functionality.

If you’d like to play locally, simply choose the Play Locally option from the main menu. This will then prompt you to connect a second controller to your system. Once both players are ready, you can start the game and pick the character you want to play as. Alternatively, you can also invite someone to your game from your online friends list. Choose the Play Online option from the main menu, and you can choose someone to invite by pressing the triangle button (or Y button if you’re on Xbox One). The person you invite needs to either own the full game or the Friends Pass free trial version.

You can only play with people on your friends list, as there is no form of matchmaking available in the game.
