Far Cry 5: How to Mark Enemies

How to Mark Enemies in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

When you’re taking on enemy outposts in an attempt to liberate them and build the resistance in one of Far Cry 5’s distinct areas, being able to mark enemies will come in incredibly handy. Not only will they have a little red icon above their head, indicating their rough location nearby, but they’ll also glow red, enabling you to follow their every move, even if they disappear behind a building.

To mark enemies in Far Cry 5, you’ll need to use your binoculars. In order to do this, simply press up on the d-pad. Once you’ve got your binoculars out, you can use L2 and R2 (or LT and RT on Xbox One) to zoom in and out. As soon as an enemy appears within your view, they’ll automatically be marked by the game. No need to constantly press a button each time you want to mark an enemy here.

It’s worth noting, though, that just because you mark enemies in Far Cry 5, they won’t forever remain marked. After about a minute or so, the icons and red glow of your marked enemies will disappear, so you’ll either have to mark them again, or just shoot them before this happens.

That’s all you need to know to mark enemies in Far Cry 5. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
