Can You Make a Female Character in Far Cry 5?
Far Cry 5 brings some big changes to the series, not the least of which is bringing the setting to the shores of the United States for the very first time. This time around you’ll be exploring the wilderness of Hope County, Montana, while doing battle with a fanatical cult. The other big change in Far Cry 5 comes in the way of its character creator, allowing players craft their very own hero instead of filling the shoes of someone else. You can alter your characters looks, race, clothing, hairstyle, and more.
Even better news is that, yes, you can decide your character’s gender. To do so, simply choose the female character option at the start of the game. For the most part, this is just a cosmetic change for your preferences, and it doesn’t drastically change anything about the story. It does mark the first time a female protagonist can be played in a Far Cry game, however. You will later on, also be able to change your clothes and outfits.
