When we saw the first details on Splatoon’s second outing on Switch, we were met with mixed reception since the title – at first – didn’t seem to do anything vastly different from its predecessor, not being worthy of that ‘2’ in the title. But after almost a year of playing Splatoon 2 for many, many hours and competing in multiple Splatfests as well as playing tons of Salmon Run, we can honestly say that Splatoon 2 definitely deserved to be a full-fledged sequel.
It’s simple, yet effective “get the most color on the map” mechanic just works so well and leaves much room for unique strategies to unfold and lots of fun to be had. With the vast amount of different clothing and weapon options, you can really make your Inkling look rad as heck and show off your amazing style while also getting those top spots in your matches.
