Sega has announced that a short, animated five-episode series starring Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, and Miles “Tails” Prower will be coming very soon. Sonic Mania Adventures will be premiering its first episode on YouTube sometime in the next thirty days and will be able to watched free of charge, as well as the other four episodes. Remember that sweet animated intro to Sonic Mania last year? This short series is being done in the same vein, with that retro art-style and the music is being handled by Tee Lopes, who worked on Sonic Mania’s soundtrack. During a SXSWGaming panel dedicated to the future of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega also announced an enhanced version of Sonic Mania, appropriately titled as: Sonic Mania Plus, which will release sometime this Summer with bonus content that is, of course, not previously available in the original game. The company also teased a new Sonic racing game that is apparently not a sequel of a past Sonic racer, which means that it is not a new Sonic R or Sonic All Stars Racing title.
