How to Beat the Eleventh Colossus in Shadow of the Colossus PS4
Most of the colossus battles in Shadow of the Colossus function as miniature puzzles within themselves, requiring you to do something before you can climb your way up the beast. This is never more true than with the eleventh colossus, Celosia. This bull-like creature is a bit smaller than the other colossi, but just as dangerous. The battle will start in a small room on top of a cliff with Celosia relentlessly charging at you. You’ll notice four different braziers along the wall of the room, so the very first thing you’ll want to do is run over and jump on top of one.
This will lure Celosia over to the brazier, and it’ll try smashing it to knock you off. After it hits the one your standing on, for the first time, you’ll notice a torch fall to the ground to the side of the brazier. Now jump off and pick up the torch quickly. Immediately you’ll notice that Celosia is afraid of fire, so turn towards the colossi and swing the torch at it. What you want to do is push the colossus across the room and off the cliff at the end. Just keep moving toward it and swinging the torch.
Celosia will fall off the cliff and break its armor open, revealing the sigil on its back. Jump off the cliff quickly and grab onto its back, then start stabbing away. You’ll be thrown off pretty quickly and will need to jump on again, which luckily isn’t too hard to do. The colossus is short enough that you can just jump on its back from the ground and grab on. If you’re really having trouble, however, you can lure it back up to the starting room and jump on one of the braziers. Celosia will try to shake you off pretty violently while you’re on its back, but just hold on and get some stabs in when you can on the sigil. It might take a couple tries of jumping on its back, but it shouldn’t take you too long to take down this colossus.
