Nintendo Labo: How to Preorder

How to Preorder Nintendo Labo

Recommended Videos

Trust Nintendo to come up with something wholly unique and drop it a week after its Direct Mini. Nintendo Labo is all about building Toy-Con. These are essentially cardboard cutouts or shapes that can be used with your Switch and Joy-Con to interact with a bunch of weird and wonderful experiences. You can build little RC Cars and race them against your friends, or play games and take care of a cute creature that lives inside the Toy-Con House. Oh, and there’s also a separate kit that allows you to wear a cardboard robot suit that replicates your real-life body movements in the game. If any of this sounds appealing to you, then you’ll likely want to preorder Nintendo Labo.

Currently, if you want to preorder Nintendo Labo, you’ll first need to decide whether you want the Variety Kit or the Robot Kit. The Robot Kit costs $10 more, at $79.99, and has the big robot suit and game. The Variety Kit, on the other hand, comes with the RC Cars, Fishing Rod, House, Motorbike, and Piano, as well as the software to make use of all these cardboard shapes.

You can currently preorder either of the Labo kits from Amazon or GameStop. Hopefully, Nintendo Labo stock won’t be quite as terrible as the NES and SNES Classics that released in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
