Zelda Breath of the Wild: Can You Keep the One-Hit Obliterator?

Looking cool.

Keeping the One-Hit Obliterator in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The One-Hit Obliterator is a really cool-looking short trident weapon you can obtain in Breath of the Wild’s new DLC pack, The Champions’ Ballad. As the name suggests, the weapon can kill an enemy with just one hit. However, the trade-off is that Link’s health will be reduced to a quarter of a heart when he wields it, which means that he’ll die with just one hit as well. After striking twice with the weapon, it’ll need a few seconds to recharge before you can use it again.

As badass as the One-Hit Obliterator is, though, if you’re hoping to keep it at the end of the DLC, you’re out of luck. Once you’ve cleared the four new shrines on the Great Plateau, the weapon splits into four parts leading you to different areas on the map. After that, it’ll return to its pedestal at the Shrine of Resurrection, and you won’t be able to pick up the weapon again. It’s definitely a shame, considering how unique the weapon design is, and we certainly would’ve loved to collect this weapon even if it had to be nerfed more than a little bit.
