Best Steam Winter Sale 2017 Deals

assassin's creed origins

Assassin’s Creed Origins gets a pretty nice discount during this Steam winter sale as well, with a hefty 30% discount. It’s certainly not the cheapest game you’ll find during this winter sale, but for a triple-A title that launched just two months ago? It’s certainly a steal.

In our review, we praised Origins for being such a breath of fresh air as compared to its predecessors. The series takes us the furthest back in the timeline we’ve ever been, where we get to witness the formation of the Brotherhood. Taking control of an Egyptian Medjay, Bayek, players will get to roam around Ancient Egypt as they do all sorts of Ubisoft open-world things like taking leaps of faith, hiding in haystacks while waiting to assassinate people, and helping regular citizens with their tedious problems.

What’s so impressive about Origins is the breathtaking reconstruction of Ancient Egypt itself. This is the largest Assassin’s Creed game to date, and you can just tell how much attention to detail Ubisoft and its team of historians have put into recreating this fascinating and monumental time period of human history. Come for blade stabbing, stay for the virtual tourism.
