Is PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) Coming to Nintendo Switch?
PUBG’s battle royale gameplay has somewhat taken the world by storm in 2017, and the title has finally arrived on Xbox One. This is the title’s first console release (albeit in early access) since it released on PC earlier this year. Of course, with the game now out on the Xbox One and set to hit the PS4 at some point in the future, fans of the Nintendo Switch are likely wondering if they can expect to get involved in the 1 vs. 99 action.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing PUBG hit the Nintendo Switch anytime soon. In a profile Bloomberg did on PlayerUnknown himself (Brendan Greene), Bluehole’s founder, Chang Byung-gyu mentioned that the company “had talks with all of the major console companies about bringing PUBG to a broader audience.” Unfortunately, despite mentioning that Xbox would lead the way before Sony brought a version to PlayStation, no specific details were mentioned regarding the discussions or plans to bring PUBG to the Switch.
Though this certainly doesn’t mean that we’ll never see PUBG on the Switch, it doesn’t suggest that we’ll be seeing it anytime soon, either. Perhaps when the game releases in its final form on both Xbox One and PS4, we’ll see it also make its way to the Nintendo Switch. As soon as we’ve got anything to tell you, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
