What’s New in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris? Everything You Need to Know
Once you’ve cleared all of the story content in Curse of Osiris, you can expect to take part in other end game activities to continue the loot grind. With the expansion, the Power level cap in Destiny 2 will be raised to 330. This means that you could technically hit a Power level of 335 if you’re willing to invest in gear mods. With the raised level cap, there will also be new weapons and equipment to collect.
Of course, all this just means that there will be new Heroic Strikes and Public Events to engage in. We don’t have a lot of details on the new Strikes just yet, but Mercury will feature Public Events, Adventures, and Lost Sectors for you to tackle. You can also earn Mercury Tokens, which are exchanged with Brother Vance for new equipment.
Also new in Osiris are Lost Prophecies. Similar to the bounties from the first Destiny, Lost Prophecies will reward players with legendary weapons on a weekly basis. Each one is a tablet acquired from Brother Vance that requires players to complete certain steps in order to finish. They are then submitted to Brother Vance who will transform the tablet into an item that can be taken to the forge and exchanged for one of 11 unique Osiris-themed weapons.
As for a new Raid, players might be a little disappointed there isn’t an all-new raid for Curse of Osiris. Instead, there will be a Raid Lair found inside the Leviathan area, where players can engage in new encounters and fight against a new final boss. This Raid Lair will take less time to complete than the Leviathan Raid.
Curse of Osiris is the first expansion to hit Destiny 2 in its first year, and it’ll be released on Dec. 5.
