Star Wars Battlefront 2: How to Get & Change Weapons

How to Unlock and Change Weapons in Star Wars Battlefront 2

Star Wars Battlefront 2’s multiplayer is a bit more focused this time around with four different classes to choose from, instead of putting your choice of Star Cards on your character like in the first game. As such weapon choices are slightly more limited this time, but you still have a few to choose from. Basically each class has four different weapons to choose from, but only one will be unlocked for each when you start the game.

To change weapons you’ll either need to go to your Collection on the main menu, or go in and edit your class when you’re choosing it in battle. When you bring up the weapon menu you’ll see four different guns for each class, and when you hover each one it says to check a specific challenge for the requirement to unlock the weapon. You can go and check the actual challenge, but the requirement will always be to get a certain number of kills with the class. The first weapon will unlock at 50 kills, with the others requiring more. Additionally, each of the three additional weapons have three modes that you can equip to each. To unlock the mods you have to get a certain number of kills with that specific weapon. Of course each weapon has different stats, so once you do unlock them you’ll need to experiment a bit to see which one fits you best.
