How to Speed Up and Slow Down Time (Fast Forward & Pause) in The Sims 4 (PS4 & Xbox One)

Recommended Videos

The Sims 4 is on consoles, and it’s time for PS4 and Xbox One owners to get in on the fun. It’s a bit difficult to get used to the controls if you’re a regular PC player, and it’s okay to have questions if you’re totally new to the game, too. Here’s how to speed up and slow down time using the fast forward and pause commands within the game.

To speed up time, you’re going to want to press R1 on PS4 or RB on Xbox One. There are three levels of speed, and each time you press the button, you’ll go up a level. The final one will see you moving the fastest you can through the game. Well, almost, it’s still faster when you send your sim to work or make them go to sleep.

If you want to pause or slow down time, you need to push L1 on PS4 or LB on Xbox One. Again, each time you press it, you’ll slow down time more and the final one will pause it altogether. Utilize these different speeds to make sure you optimize the time your sim is spending.
