Includes cross-play with PC version.
Rec Room, a virtual reality social club, is launching for PlayStation VR in open beta on Nov. 21, developer Against Gravity announced today in a PlayStation Blog post.
The game centers around a Rec Center where players can meet up and join in activities such as paintball, table tennis, co-op quests, charades, and more. Players can also create custom rooms for friends only, and sandbox mode allows them to customize their own dorm room and create minigames. PlayStation Plus members will receive an exclusive paintball skin, though the game does not require the service to play.
Against Gravity also showed a piece of concept art for a pirate-themed co-op quest. The new four-player adventure is expected to drop sometime in early 2018.
Rec Room originally released on Steam in June 2016, and is currently in Steam Early Access. The PlayStation VR open beta and full release will be free, and supports cross-platform play with the PC version.
