Octodad: Dadliest Catch Brings Its Unique Brand of Puzzle-Solving to the Switch

He's got a good thing going.

Young Horses’ deliriously funny Octodad: Dadliest Catch is slowly, painstakingly making its way to Nintendo Switch if it could just get its suction cups through those sleeves, and — there, got it! It’s coming to Switch on Nov. 9. That’s pretty soon!

Just announced today, the game was previously available on just about every other console since its debut in 2015, including mobile devices. It’s a hilarious time that finds you struggling to control your octopus body as you work your way through a series of rather menial task. One day you’ve got to serve your human children some chocolate milk. Other days you might need to have a barbecue in the back yard of your home. You’ve got to do all this while keeping your “secret” identity as an octopus a secret. Easier said than done, right?

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is the sequel to the original Octodad, where the titular octopus has to live through a trip to the aquarium with his wife and kids, all the while ensuring no one finds out his terrible, life-changing secret. It’s harrowing! It’s weird! It’s probably one of the funniest games you’ll play on the Switch, at least as far as the current game lineup goes.

You can pick up Octodad: Dadliest Catch when it launches via the Nintendo Switch eShop on Nov. 9. Try and not tell anyone he’s an octopus before then. It’d spoil the launch.
