Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: How to Get UB Burst (Blacephalon)

How to Get UB Burst AKA Blacephalon in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

Recommended Videos

Ultra beasts are back in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. These mysterious alternate dimension Pokemon are extremely powerful and usually feature some unique stats, abilities, moves, and type combinations. In the case of UB Burst, also known as Blacephalon, you’ll be able to catch a power Ghost/Fire type after beating the game. That is, of course, if you’re playing on Ultra Sun.

Let’s start off by mentioning that Blacephalon is an Ultra Sun exclusive Pokemon. The only way to get it in Ultra Moon is if you trade with someone who caught it in the opposite version, so be aware of that before you go crazy looking for it in Ultra Moon.

Upon completion of the game, you’ll begin the post game events and Hau will come to your house and get you moving on catching Ultra Beasts. Then, you’ll want to head on over to the Poni Grove and meet up with the Ultra Recon Squad. They will give you five Beast Balls, which are highly effective for catching UBs, such as UB Burst aka Blacephalon.

After that, just walk around in the tall grass of the Poni Grove. The encounter rate, if not 100%, is very high, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding it. Once in the fight, use the same strategies you always would for catching Pokemon. Just make sure to SAVE before engaging in case you accidentally kill it or get a nature/IV combination that you do not like.

That does it for how to UB Burst AKA Blacephalon. For more tips, tricks, and information on Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, be sure to search Twinfinite.
