CoD WW2 Multiplayer: Tips and Tricks for Beginners

CoD WW2 Firing Range

With Sledgehammer Games bringing the series back to its boots on the ground combat, Call of Duty: WWII fans will have to readjust to slower paced gameplay. In addition, there a few new features and changes to CoD WW2’s multiplayer aspect, and it might feel overwhelming at first if you haven’t played Call of Duty in a long while or you’re a series newcomer. If you simply hop into multiplayer without properly understanding these new features, you won’t even get to maximize your earnings.

Firstly, it’s best to familiarize yourself with the Headquarters social hub of CoD WW2, as you can earn experience points, experience point bonuses, Supply Drops, and cosmetic items in this area. You can also jump into Headquarters while waiting for a match to start, giving you enough time to test out your guns in the firing range or talk to a few task givers in the area.

Whenever you get to Headquarters, make sure you check your mail and collect your 100 Armory credits every four hours. Armory credits are used to purchase weapons, uniforms, call cards, and other cosmetic items from the Quartermaster. Additionally, you can purchase time-limited contracts from the Quartermaster, which earns you either experience point rewards or Supply Drops after completion. It is not advisable to spend all your Armory credits on contracts, however, as they are a bit too expensive.

Unlike the costly contracts from the Quartermaster, the daily and weekly orders from Major Howard won’t cost you a dime, and aside from being easier to pull off, you’ll get similar rewards from the Quartermaster’s contracts. Take note that you can only have three orders at a time from Major Howard, so make sure you always select the challenges based on the multiplayer game modes you’re currently playing. If you complete enough daily and weekly orders, you can even earn a nice reward.
