Call of Duty: WWII Spends a Third Week Atop the UK Game Charts

Call of Duty: WWII

Can’t stop CoD.

Call of Duty: WWII is spending a third week atop the UK game charts, despite fierce competition from the recent release of Star Wars Battlefront II. Unlike the last few entries in the series, Call of Duty: WWII goes back to its roots and abandons the futuristic setting for the Second World War.

Star Wars Battlefront II was released last week but, as we’ve reported, it has failed to perform as well as the previous game due to the large amounts of negative press it received regarding loot boxes. It instead went into second place with FIFA 18 in third. Pokemon Ultra Sun made its debut in fourth with Pokemon Ultra Moon debuting in fifth. The top 20 are as follows:

  1. Call of Duty: WWII
  2. Star Wars Battlefront II
  3. FIFA 18
  4. Pokemon Ultra Sun
  5. Pokemon Ultra Moon
  6. Assassin’s Creed: Origins
  7. The Sims 4
  8. L.A. Noire Remastered
  9. Super Mario Odyssey
  10. Lego Marvel Superheroes 2
  11. Need for Speed Payback
  12. Gran Turismo: Sport
  13. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  14. Grand Theft Auto V
  15. Forza Mtorsport 7
  16. Forza Horizon 3
  17. Sonic Forces
  18. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
  19. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR
  20. PlayStation VR Worlds

This coming week doesn’t see the release of any hot;y anticipated titles, so it will be interesting to see if Call of Duty: WWII is able to spend a fourth week on top.
