The leaves are turning. The temperature is dropping. Post-Halloween candy sales have left your stomach churning. It all can only mean one thing. A very special time of the year is finally upon us — Black Friday.

While the vast majority of deals are also online now, some door buster sales and in-store only deals will inevitably have many holiday shoppers plotting out their war path weeks in advance. For many gamers, that will include scooping up a Nintendo Switch for a fraction of the price, or at least that’s what we hope for.

The reality, however, is that the Nintendo Switch is still in high demand. The hybrid console is flying off the shelves and even without a special holiday sale in place many big box retailers are struggling to keep Nintendo’s latest console in stock. That means that the chances of coming across any major Black Friday deals for the Nintendo Switch are pretty slim. While every retailer is pretty much guaranteed to mention the Switch in their Black Friday ads, whether or not they will actually be slashing prices is yet to be seen.

Twinfinite will be stalking Black Friday ads and retailer websites to keep an eye out for the best deals and we’ll update this page as more sales are announced.

Nintendo – Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Nintendo shared some details about its Black Friday plans, which revolved heavily around Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo hasn’t announced any plans to drop the console’s price but did confirm that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Edition would be released on November 23. This version of the game would come with a 100-page explorer’s guide and a two-sided map. This bundle will be available at GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us.

Another Nintendo Switch bundle that will still be available at most major retailers during the holidays is the Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo Switch bundle. The bundle will go for $379.99 and includes a digital copy of Super Mario Odyssey, a Super Mario Odyssey themed carrying case, and a screen protector. The Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo Switch bundle is available at Best Buy, Target, GameStop, and Walmart.

Target – Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Target rushed to be the first major big box retailer to release its Black Friday ad this year, but there isn’t much good news for anyone looking for a Nintendo Switch. The ad promotes a Switch bundle for $299.99 but doesn’t actually list what is included in the bundle. For now, it seems like Target is more or less just reminding shoppers that they will have the Switch in stock for the sale but it doesn’t look like they will be slashing any prices here.

The ad does also mention that select games for the Switch will be discounted. While a complete list of games hasn’t been released, a few titles were displayed for sale in the ad.

  • LEGO Worlds – $15
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 – $25
  • Just Dance 2018 – $29.99
  • Super Bomberman R – $35

Best Buy – Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Best Buy has a ton of great savings this Black Friday for gamers but, unfortunately, those savings don’t include a price slash on the Nintendo Switch. The console is being promoted in the ad but is listed for its usual price of $299.99. While the Nintendo Switch isn’t on sale, however, Best Buy is offering a discount on some Switch games for Black Friday.

  • FIFA 18 – $29.99
  • Rayman Legends Definitive Edition – $19.99
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 – $19.99
  • Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure – $14.99
  • The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ – $29.99

Amazon – Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Amazon hasn’t announced their official Black Friday deals yet but keep in mind that the online retailer is running their Countdown to Black Friday promotion. Amazon will release a new lightning sale every day now through November 23. Also remember that if you want to make the most out of Black Friday and Cyber Monday at Amazon, Prime members get early access to all the sales.

Walmart – Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Like many others, Walmart mentions the Nintendo Switch in its Black Friday ads but doesn’t offer any special pricing on the hybrid console. With the Switch still being in such high demand it’s no surprise that deals on the console are hard to come by but retailers like Walmart are at least promising to have the console in stock on Black Friday.

Walmart is also promoting The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Edition for $49 instead of its usual price tag of $59.99.

GameStop – Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

GameStop is still waiting to announce any Black Friday plans, but you can still catch a few games on sale before the official holiday rush begins.

  • LEGO City Undercover – $19.99
  • LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game – $39.99

We will continue to update this guide as more Black Friday deals and sales are announced.
