The Evil Within 2: How to Sneak and Take Cover

How to Sneak and Take Cover in The Evil Within 2

Recommended Videos

If you’d rather just let the terrifying creatures in The Evil Within 2 do their thing and stay out of their way, then you’ll definitely want to know how to sneak and take cover. Many of the enemies will either see or hear you if you try and just walk or sprint past them, so sneaking and using cover is definitely the best option for a stealthy approach in The Evil Within 2.

In order to sneak, simply press the right stick in on your Xbox One or PS4 controller. Sebastian will now be crouched and will make far less noise when moving around. It’s also worth noting that you can take cover in grass or other foliage. When Sebastian’s silhouette turns blue he’ll be camouflaged and enemies won’t be able to spot him.

To take cover in The Evil Within 2, you’ll simply want to press and hold the R1 button (RB on Xbox One) when standing by a wall. Sebastian will automatically crouch behind and stick to the wall. Use the left stick to move him along the wall, and press it in the direction shown on the screen in order to turn corners. This can be seen by a little arrow next to the left analog stick icon when you approach a corner. When you want to hop out of cover, simply let go of RB/ R1.
