Stardew Valley Switch: Is There Co-Op Multiplayer

Is There Co-Op Multiplayer in Stardew Valley on Switch?

Recommended Videos

Stardew Valley has finally brought its farming and life sim action to the Nintendo Switch rounding the list of major platforms the game is available on. Of course, while we knew that Stardew Valley would be making its way to Nintendo’s hybrid system for a while, many fans have also been desperately awaiting news about a co-op multiplayer mode for the game.

Well, there’s good news! Stardew Valley is due to receive an official co-op multiplayer update sometime early next year. According to a post over on the official website, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch will all get the co-op multiplayer patch. This will allow four players to play simultaneously in one world without any major limitations to what the guest players can do. The blog post also makes it clear that “local multiplayer, split-screen, and PvP are not planned at this point,” so don’t get your hopes up for those.

The co-op multiplayer update currently doesn’t have a date to hit the Switch or any other consoles for that matter. However, as soon as we hear any official world, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
