PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Is Still Slated for a Holiday Release on Console

Xbox One fans still have a reason to be excited.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still planned for a release on Xbox One, but there haven’t been that many updates on the game over the last few weeks. The game has been focused on breaking records and being in the news more lately for other topics, but it’s still going to be coming to the console.

Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg, however, has stated recently that the game is still very much planned for release on Xbox One, with Greenberg reaching out to congratulate Brendan Greene, PlayerUnknown himself, on the game having reached over 2 million concurrent players on Steam. He also mentioned how the team is working hard and that they’re “excited” to be publishing the game on Xbox One “this holiday.” That definitely answers the question of whether or not it’s still coming down the pipeline soon.

Unfortunately there still isn’t any talk of a concrete release date for the game as far as when it’s going to make its triumphant Xbox One debut. If it wants to stay on top of its game as the best Battle Royale-styled title that players recognize, it needs to go ahead and release on console since Fortnite: Battle Royale has already beaten it there.
