Nintendo Switch 4.0.0 Update Adds Video Capturing, Pre-Purchasing Games, and More

A pleasant surprise.

The latest Nintendo Switch update is a doozy, adding a lot of new and useful features to the system. After seven months since the hybrid console launched, fans can now finally record videos with the Capture Button, pre-purchase games on the eShop, and more.

Firstly, the patch finally allows players to record their gameplay with the Capture Button. To save your last 30 seconds of gameplay, simply hold down the button. You can share these clips on social media, like Twitter and Facebook. Take note that you can only use this feature on select games, like Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2.

The Nintendo Switch update also allows fans to pre-purchase select games on the eShop. This will allow you to pre-load future titles and make sure they’re ready to play on the day they finally launch. Moreover, it adds a few other nifty features like more icons for your user, some new channel updates, user and save data transfer to other systems, and a few other stuff. The latest Nintendo Switch update is now available to download for your console.
