Gran Turismo Sport Demo Period Extended by a Day

Keep on driving.

Following a few server issues and an emergency server maintenance, Polyphony Digital has decided to extend the Gran Turismo Sport demo period by one more day.

As announced in Gran Turismo Sport’s in-game news information screen, the demo period will last until Oct. 13 at 05:00 CST or Oct. 14 at 14:00 PDT. The demo extension also applies to the daily races, which means you still have enough time to continue improving your Driver Rating and Sportsmanship Rating. Once the demo period ends, you will no longer get to participate in all races.

The demo extension is definitely great news for those who had troubles playing the game. Apparently, producer Kazunori Yamauchi said the high player count contributed to the server issues, with over one million players playing the limited time demo of Gran Turismo Sport. The demo also weighs over 40GB, so those who downloaded it only recently still have enough time to enjoy the game.

Vehicle unlocks, in-game credits (up to $1 million), and Mileage points obtained in the demo will carry over to the full game. Shared online content such as photos, replays, and liveries will also get transferred.

Gran Turismo Sport will release exclusively for the PS4 on October 17, 2017. While it’s a multiplayer-centric title, majority of its trophies can be acquired without playing online matches.
