Code Vein Gets a Slew of Gruesome Screenshots Featuring Weapons and the Queen’s Knight

A look at the game's first boss.

When I played Code Vein at Tokyo Game Show 2017 last month, I got to explore a large dungeon and even pit myself against the game’s first boss, the Queen’s Knight. Bandai Namco has just released a whole batch of new screenshots showing off the boss himself, along with images of several weapons that players will get to use in the game. You can check out the screenshots in the gallery down below.

Code Vein is an action RPG that takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting where the surviving humans are forced to feed on blood in order to survive. This has stripped away their humanity, but it also gives them special powers that make them strong enough to survive in a harsh environment. The combat is very similar to the likes of the Soulsborne games as well.

There’s no set release date for Code Vein just yet, but it’s slated for release in early 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
