Call of Duty: WW2 (Nov. 3)
November PS4 Games to Have on Your Radar
Call of Duty is one of the biggest releases of every year, but 2017 marks a special year for the series as we’re returning to its World War 2 roots. Call of Duty: WW2 focuses on a band in the American 1st Infantry Division, as they fight their way through the European theatre of the war. There’s a full fledged dramatic campaign in WW2, as well as the series’ tried and true multiplayer portion. Many of the features fans know are back, but there’s also quite a few changes. Instead of creating a class you’ll get to choose from five different divisions, each of which have their own weapons, basic training, and skills. This is combined with the new Headquarters social space set on Omaha Beach, where up to 48 players can participate in various activities like testing score streaks, 1vs1 battles, and a shooting range. The newest addition to the multiplayer suite is War Mode, which pits two teams against each other in a massive match. One team has to attack a series of strategic objectives, while the other protects them, switching sides after each round.
Of course if the campaign and multiplayer options aren’t enough for you, you’ve also got the return of Nazi Zombies. This uses the same survival mode featured in previous Call of Duty games, but with an original story and characters. Call of Duty: WW2 is looking like a proper return for the World War 2 shooter, and any fan of the genre is going to want to pick it up.
