Assassin’s Creed Origins: How to Upgrade Armor, Weapons, Health, Damage, Ammo Capacity

How to Upgrade Armor, Weapons, Health, Damage, and Ammo Capacity in Assassin’s Creed Origins

Recommended Videos

The gear system in Assassin’s Creed Origins is quite different to how it is in prior Assassin’s Creed games. While in the past a lot of the upgrade process was done at shops or through special NPCs, this time around you’re able to do most of it on your own.

To upgrade most of your gear, head to the Gear section of pause menu and hover over the item you would like to upgrade. Here, you will be able to improve your health, your hidden blade damage, your melee damage, your ranged damage, or your ammo capacity. Once you have decided which you want to improve, simply press A if you’re on Xbox One, or X if you’re on PlayStation 4, to craft an upgrade for it.

Upgrades for weapons or shields work slightly differently. You can improve them by picking up better versions or upgrading them at a Blacksmith. Instead of crafting these improved weapons or shields, you use in-game currency, allowing the Blacksmith to improve them for you. Improving your gear in Assassin’s Creed Origins is vital to succeeding in combat and will help a lot in the latter, more difficult sections of the game.
