How to Beat Khaliset the Hyena in Assassin’s Creed Origins
The Hyena is one of your more twisted targets in Assassin’s Creed Origins. Before discovering who is behind the title, all you know is that they’re a person who’s into dark rituals and human sacrifice. They’ve been kidnapping Egyptians and killing them for some unknown purpose. It turns out that Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Hyena is a woman named Khaliset who lost her daughter and is willing to do absolutely anything to get her back. She is no longer living in reality and refuses to let go, and if she has to kill thousands of others to finally get what she wants, she will.
Many view Khaliset as a witch doctor and she sort of lives up to that with her use of “magic.” Various bombs and status ailments are at her disposal in Assassin’s Creed Origins, and she likes to keep you confused as she finds vantage points and orders her hyenas to attack you.
Due to the fight taking place during a sandstorm, locking onto the Hyena can be rather difficult, and she won’t play the melee game for long. she’ll pick a spot and start firing arrows at you from a distance. You can use these to track her location and close the distance, hitting Khaliset with a quick combo before she uses a smoke screen to move around. Good weapon options are regular swords and dual swords. They have decent speed, and their Overpower is a single, powerful attack, so you don’t have to worry about this boss disappearing in the middle of a combo. Bows are good too so you can hit her with some shots as you close the distance. Light, Predator, and Hunter are useful since they don’t have any spread and have good range and solid accuracy.
When you take off about a third of Hyena’s health in Assassin’s Creed Origins, she’ll set one of her two hyenas on you. They’re strong. You want to completely focus on the beasts rather than trying to avoid it and go for Hyena. Khaliset doesn’t have the greatest aim, so you should be fine taking out her pet first. Hyena will send the second one at you when she’s down to about a third of her total health.
Just keep dodging arrows and closing the distance in order to whittle her down and send Khaliset the Hyena to her doom. Before you know it you’ll have another member of the Order of the Ancients defeated in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
