That’s a lot of copies.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is continuing to sell like gangbusters, having reached a whopping 15 million copies sold via Steam. This latest development comes via Steamspy, offering a glimpse into some of the heights the game has reached in its relatively short time on the market.
The game has been out and available for purchase since March, and it’s remained steady at its debut price all the way through today, where it runs $30 to pick it up. People continue to snap it up here and there, which is pretty impressive, and people are still buying it and adding it to their collection every day.
Just last month, developer Bluehole announced that the game had sold 10 million copies, to put things in perspective. That’s five million more in just a month. It seems every other day we’re reporting on new records PUBG is totally smashing, and while it’s seeing competition with Fortnite Battle Royale, there’s no denying this game is currently sitting pretty at the top.
It’s clear that PUBG is going to be a formidable opponent to beat, especially in terms of sales and player count right now, though Fortnite is climbing on up there.
