Tiny Barbarian DX Is Cleaving Its Way to Nintendo Switch With Physical and Digital Editions

Puncha their buns.

Ever wanted to swing your sword around as a diminutive barbarian out in the wild? Nicalis has your back with Tiny Barbarian DX, which is launching for Switch in both physical and digital versions on October 10 for $29.99. After that, a complete version of the game will be making its way to the Switch.

The game is essentially a pixel-flavored beat-’em-up where you’re likely to die, especially with so many enemies surrounding you at any given time. If you decide to pick up a physical version of the game, you’ll get a color instruction boklet, keychain of the Tiny Barbarian himself, as well as a small microfiber puch with the game logo on it. The box art is a treat on its own, created by Susumu Matushita, who’s responsible for designing lots of different issues of Famitsu magazine.

You can see the game in action below in the latest announcement trailer, which does a pretty good job of showing off its aesthetic and exactly what you’ll be up against. It’s pretty typical Nicalis fare, and you’ll want to check it out if you’re a fan of titles like Cave Story+.
