Another slice of RPG goodness.
Square Enix is behind the upcoming Tokyo RPG Factory game Lost Sphear, the next title from the same company that brought us I Am Setsuna. It’s shaping up to be an intriguing yet very by-the-numbers Japanese RPG from the look of things, but that’s in no way a bad thing when it comes to RPGs headed to the Switch. We surely can’t get enough of them!
If you have a Japanese PSN account or Japanese Nintendo eShop account, you can try out the demo that’s available on both services in the coming days, as revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2017. Of course, it’s in Japanese, so if you can’t read the language that might be a bit of an issue, but it’s still worth experiencing so you can get a feel for what kind of gameplay it will offer.
The demo itself will allow you to carry over any save data from the game that you’ll have played, which includes a bit of the game’s beginning stages. The game does’t release proper until October 12 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but Western gamers will have to wait even longer for a drop on January 23 for both consoles. There’s likely an English demo in the works too, but there’s been no date about that just yet.
