Etrian Odyssey V Gets Two New Trailers for the Rover and Necromancer Classes

Which class would you pick?

Atlus title, Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, has two new trailers that were uploaded, stirring up some hype as we get closer to the game’s release window. These trailers showcase two new classes, one called the Necromancer, and the other called the Rover. In the minute-long videos, you can see how to select these classes, as well as how you can customize them to give them a unique feeling while you play. And, most importantly, how they work.

Along with these trailers, Atlus also released an overview explaining what both of the new classes do. For the Necromancer, they are explained as “Eldritch summoners who wield power over life and death. They call forth undead Wraiths to attack enemies or defend allies.” As for the Rover, they are “seasoned hunters who wield bows and arrows. They combine attacks with a loyal hound or hawk to bind their prey.”

These two new classes join eight other characters for a total of ten, as well as four races, allowing players to pick whatever feels right for them in this RPG title that tells the story of Yggdrasil and boasts “dungeon exploration, monster battles, and party building.”

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth is already available in Japan, but will be coming to the Americas on Oct. 17. The game will be available for the Nintendo 3DS family of handheld systems and can currently be pre-ordered by following a few links on the official Etrian Odyssey V website.

Below are the trailers for both the Necromancer and the Rover classes in that order.
