Destiny 2: How to Replay Missions

A big part of the “grind” of Destiny 1 was replaying story missions for special rewards. Destiny 2 carries on that tradition in a way, but not exactly how it was done in Destiny 1. First, as far as we can tell at launch, there’s no way to just replay a mission for fun. Instead, certain missions are recycled back into the mix via a feature that is added after beating the game.

After completing the story of Destiny 2, you will earn the ability to take on “meditation” missions from Ikora Ray. Ikora Ray will have three available and completing them will earn you a Vanguard Research Token which can be traded in for legendary rewards from her. You can do all three for three separate tokens.

You cannot repeat the missions for rewards once you’ve done all three and it appears at the time of this writing that they are weekly rewards, similar to the daily heroic story missions which offered rewards in the original Destiny. If it’s anything like the original Destiny, it will be worth it to keep up with these missions to ensure you’re guardian is gaining equipment at maximum efficiency.

That does it for how to replay missions in Destiny 2. Be sure to check our Destiny 2 wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on the game.
