How to Get to 300 Light Fast in Destiny 2
After you reach 265, you can start working to reach 300 in earnest. As we’ve mentioned already, engrams stop increasing in light by this point, but there is a way to get rewards that drop much higher. Destiny 2 has weekly Milestones that offer up a reward called Powerful Gear. These are packages that contain a couple of pieces of legendary gear (sometimes you’ll get an exotic if you’re lucky) that all drop at a much higher Power level. The pieces themselves are random, so you may not get exactly what you want, but you can use them to infuse into pieces of gear that you do actually like. The various weekly Milestones are:
Nightfall – Veterans are well aware of this nasty little challenge, though things have changed to dial the tension up. The weekly Nightfall Strike is a modified version of one of the game’s standard strikes, with a time limit added on for good measure. Fail to kill the boss before the time expires and you have to start all over again.
Call to Arms – A relatively easy Crucible Milestone. You simply have to join up with a Fireteam and complete some PvP matches. You don’t have to win, but winning helps you finish this challenge more quickly.
Flashpoint – Each week, a specific world in Destiny 2 will be chosen for you to explore. You must complete Public Events to bring this Milestone to 100%. Getting Heroic completions helps to make this go quicker.
Clan – Team up with some members of your clan and complete some activities.
