Kings and queens of the stone age.
Yet another indie game is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Caveman Warriors has received its first trailer, introducing its charming gameplay to the world.
Developed by JanduSoft, the game is a four-player action platformer. Each caveman has their own unique ability that they can harness to make it through each whacky level. While the trailer doesn’t break down each specific ability, character’s are shown charging through bricks, throwing spears to use as platforms, and assisting their fellow club swingers.
The gameplay looks similar to Castle Crashers, but with less of an emphasis on hacking your way through countless enemies, and a greater focus on puzzle platforming.
The game features a charming art style and plenty of clever humor to boot. The trailer begins with a parody of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Several Cavemen are seen hotting and hollering around a slick black arcade machine, not unlike the mysterious obelisk seen at the beginning of the film.
The Switch continues to be a great place for indie titles, with many more arriving in the next several months.
There is no release date currently announced for Caveman Warriors, but it will be released soon for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Mac, and Linux.
