The Pets Won’t Be Playable, But They’ll Be Packed with Personality
What’s New in The Sims 4: Cats &Dogs? Everything We Know
There is a lot to celebrate in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs even before the expansion pack has even released. Just the idea of having furry friends added to the mix is exciting and the ability to dress them up the way you want and even customize their patterns and behaviors make them a real treat for any Sim family. The only possible downfall for many players is the fact that this expansion will not allow you to play as your beloved pets.
Some see it as a surprising call since you were able to play as pets when the animal-friendly expansion hit The Sims 3. While some players may feel a bit disappointed that they can’t control the antics of their pets in The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs, it’s important to remember that you will be able to completely customize their personality. Your pets, just like your Sims, grow and develop over time and their personality slowly starts to come to life. While you won’t be able to force your pet to go outside to pee (or to pee on a Sim you don’t like), not being able to control your furry sidekicks could be the best way to make sure the experience feels authentic. When was the last time your pet really listened to everything you told it to do?
