This time around, space combat is supposed to be improved by a vast amount with additional customization options, role-based team play, a new class-based system, and enhanced controls. The new Starfighter Assault gameplay will actually be show off during Gamscom 2017 and streamed on EA.com on August 21, showing off 24 players squaring off on the Fondo: Imperial Shipyard map.

Though Star Wars Battlefront II isn’t officially due out until November 17, you can join the open beta from October 6 through October 9 to try it out and see if it’s your cup of tea, or your color of lightsaber, as it were. If you’ve preordered the game, you’ll be able to try out the game two days early on October 4 instead.
